HISTORY

Having read about the Canadian Horse, We decided to research this animal and to do our part in preserving a major part of Canadian History.  One of the most important factors in preservation is to obtain the best quality of the breed and this we did.

The horses at our farm are easily classed as good examples of the breed as it was developed, Medium build and suitable for driving and riding. We purchased good breeding stock and thus the offspring are not only "good and typical" horses of the Canadian breed, also having a good temperament making them conducive to easy handling and training.

Our Stallion, Capitaine, is from championship stock. he was a winner in the Centennial Competition of the Canadian Horse Breeders Assn. as a two year old, in 1995. He has also been shown at Northern Ontario sites to encourage interest in the Breed. " Java", one of our Canadian mares was on the Dini Petty TV show and can be viewed at the Endangered Species site: http://www.fuzzywunkle.net/equines/canada.htm

"Ebony" or Tignes has all eight (8) lines of the breed in her pedigree. She also has a unique motion that occurs during a trotting gait, which we call a "float" and resembles floating across the terrain with little effort.   Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information on the Breed and the availability of purebred offspring for sale...
