From DHHL1 to DHHL16

Profile: Peter Nilsson was unanimously inducted into the DHHL Hall of Fame between seasons 16 and 17. He was one of the original founders of the league and was absolutely instrumental in enabling commissioner Wayne Trainor to get things off the ground. Peter had a great hand in everything from original player ratings to the creation of the rule book. Many of his ideas continue to live in the DHHL rulebook to this day, including the entire retirement system which had been his idea, lock, stock and barrel.

Despite not being as active in the last few seasons he was in the league, Peter could always be counted upon to lend a helping dose of advice or to be a sound second opinion, or just an ear to rant to. He has also been the innovator of numerous sayings that live on to this day.

If not for Peter, there would be no DHHL. Not only was it in great part his idea(We NEED more GAMES!!!!,lol), he was instrumental in helping to develop the rules in the league, and in helping me keep my sanity as I set everything up way back in DHHL1. Had it not been for Peter there would have been no DHHL. I wish to extend my sincere thanks, on behalf of myself, and every member who has come through the league, for his countless hours of work and time and fun he has put into the DHHL.

I can say with 100% certainty that had he not agreed to sign on to a ton of things at the beginning there would have not been a league. He was instrumental in the creation of rules, and in adding his wealth of knowledge to all things as we created the league step by step. Some of his ideas continue unchanged to this day, and are likely to remain so for the existence of the league.
