I'm including my research on the descendants of Henry & Sarah not only because two of their eight known children, Henry & Charles married two of my Burns relatives, Catherine & Sarah, but because I have heard from descendants of some of these children. We are all searching for the origins of Henry & Sarah and as of this writing (April 2004) it has been unfruitful. We know that they were in the Pontiac in the late 1820s and we know that they were American. They may have some relationship with the Jewell's of Montreal (although none has been found) because that is where they would have heard and been hired by the Hudson's Bay Co. who were shipping lumber and trading in the Alumette Island area in 1818. There have also been efforts to connect them with the Jewell's of Braintree, Massachusetts and Vermont but we cannot connect them with anyone in the Jewell Register.
