The Student!
Harley was born in Leiden, Holland, the same "dutch" city where the great portrait artist, "Rembrandt", was born. His family immigrated to Canada in the 50's and settled in southern Ontario. He studied art and design at Toronto's Western Technical-Commercial School. He graduated with honours and continued his studies at York University.

The Artist & Salesman!
Young and ambitious, Harley began his career in commercial art and advertising sales. He has won numerous awards for "excellence" with his creative renderings and packaging concepts. Harley's sales efforts helped open and develop an international market for the packaging of Canadian pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and distillery products. Faberge, McGuinness, Genereal Foods, Nabisco Brands, Sterling Drugs, McNeil, Ortho Pharmaceuticals, and others, were all clients influenced by his work. Many of Harley's package and label designs can still be found on store shelfs today. His direct customer contact and liasons persuaded him to eventually establish his own Design & Graphic Arts firm.

The Traveler & Family Man!
As a world traveller, Harley has witnessed, first hand, the art of the Great Masters of Europe. He has
touched the Aztec Art of Mexico. He has laughed and joked with Caribbean Artists, Hawaiian Artists,
and Native Artists of North America.
Blessed by these experiences, and after a successful business career, Harley decided to retire to
"The Rock" (Newfoundland, Canada), where he and his wife are presently raising their young family.
His "beautiful little angels" have inspired him to sketch portraits and paint landscapes, though sometimes
he still daydreams about riding his "namesake", his favourite motorcycle... Harley!...Vroom!...Vroom!
