Due to a derailment, Canadian Pacific eastbound train 118 had to detour on Canadian National's Ruel Subdivision to Capreol then continue on the Bala Subdivision to get to CN's Sudbury Spur. This spur crosses the northern part of the city and meets up with Canadian Pacific's Nickel Spur on the way to INCO's Clarabelle Mill. It's a real piece of urban railroading.
Heading for the transfer and soon to be on "home turf" again are CP 5983, CP 5758, CP 5595 with train 118 in tow as it crossed the CN trestle over Canadian Pacific's Cartier Subdivision and Beatty Street.
