Ottawa Valley Railway crews will usually give a friendly wave. However, this isn't a friendly wave these young fellows are getting! 424 axles worth of westbound 481-18 wasn't stopping on a dime for these guys. The crew slowed down and had the bell ringing. These guys knew they were approaching but still wouldn't move. The full blast of the horn right behind them finally did get their attention, but they didn't move off the north track at mile 76.6 of the Cartier Subdivision until the very last second.
SD40-2F, CP 9008 leads SD40M-2, CP 5495 and the sparsly marked CP 5388 with CP 5904 bringing up the rear of the consist.
