The following is a list of symbols for trains that may be expected to travel all or part of the Cartier Subdivision. See the Timecard for Cartier Subdivision operational details.

Intermodal traffic for Vancouver IF ex. Vaughan and Lachine, and late cut-off Calgary IF traffic train 109 is unable to accomodate. No speed restricted or shiftable traffic. 9500' max. if Locotrol inserted.
103 Toronto to South Edmonton
Daily except Monday
Mostly autos plus intermodal. 9500' max. if Locotrol inserted.
105 Toronto to Calgary (Alyth)
Daily except Monday
Autos, Intermodal and Manifest.
107 Montreal (St. Luc) to Coquitlam
Daily except Sunday
Intermodal and Autos.
Operated by Ottawa Valley Railway from Smiths Falls to Coniston - Cartier.
109 Toronto to Vancouver (Deltaport)
Operates Monday
From Vaughan, carries early Calgary IF, Winnipeg, Sutherland and Regina IMS, filling to a maximum 9,500ft (if Locotrol inserted). Also lifts Thunder Bay IMS at Vaughan and also handles the same auto traffic as train 115.

Grain loads usually go south at Romford. Grain empties usually return west via Ottawa Valley Railway (RailAmerica) at Coniston.

U52 (INCO-1 / Assignment-1) Local nickel ore assignment serving INCO Creighton Mine/Clarabelle Mill yard (via Nickel Spur).
U55 (INCO-3 / Assignment-3) Local nickel ore assignment serving INCO Levack Mine (via Levack Spur at mile 102.5) to Clarabelle Mill (via Sprecher at mile 81.79).
U56 (INCO-4 / Assignment-4) Local nickel ore assignment serving INCO Creighton Mine/Clarabelle Mill yard.
U57 (INCO-5 / Assignment-5) Local nickel ore assignment serving INCO Creighton Mine/Clarabelle Mill yard (via Nickel Spur).
U51 Falconbridge Turn (The Falcon) Local assignment serving Falconbridge Nickel Mine (via Falconbridge Spur (Mott), mile 69.1).

INCO ore assignments are restricted to 35 MPH loaded and 25 MPH empty. The INCO trains do not run during INCO's summer shutdown (obviously).
