At our previous residence we had a small lot and an okay sized house.
Just over 1000 sq ft for the house and 50x120 Ft lot. We moved to
a new part of Ontario and now have a 100x300 ft lot and 1600 sq ft
house.
There was very little wrong with the house, touch wood. It is 16
yrs old now but we are quite happy with it all. The basement was
almost completely unfinished. Upstairs - the only things we had
to do were cosmetic. Still have lots of trim work to do and touch
ups but quite happy with it all. Had to replace the living room
rug and look forward to big changes in the kitchen. Likely have
to replace the sunroom rug in not too distant future as well.
Major work has been done in the basement. Anticipate doing renos
in the front entrance. Would love to have french doors in the
sunroom. As much as I love the windows in the sunroom I will have
to do something about the intense heat in summer and heat loss in
winter.
We changed the heating system as well and now have a cooling system
too.
So in the pics you will see old and new. Oops - there are a lot
of pics there.
