Mission Statement Of Lions Clubs International
Some of our projects and interests will be listed here.
Our Lions Club Trading Pin This pin know was fashioned to commemorate Gunner, the first guide dog from Oakville to Newfoundland. Gunner was paired with Lion Cecil Curtis in the late seventies. Lion Cecil had lost his eye sight due to an industrial accident. At the time this was a big project for our small club to take on. Gunner worked loyally until age forced him into retirement, at that time Lion Cecil received his second guide dog. Our club still has some pins left and can be purchased at a cost of $5.00.
