Prognosis, Grim...

Strange place that the world is, is it any wonder that the outlook is bleak?  And I don't mean outlook express, even though that can be bleak too.  Maybe it's a function of age that one finds societal change to be disconcerting.  Whatever happened to the good old days?  Where have all the flowers gone?  That sort of thing.
With the incredible increase in popularity of the internet, change may have, finally, taken an actual turn for the better.  How odd.   Smaller world, at any rate.  Mobility is in the head.  The outside world holds little appeal and this is escapism at it's best.  Which is good.  And bad.   And indifferent.  Sort of.
Yes, western civilization has peaked.  The decline is upon us.  These things happen.  Not in our lifetimes, but, eventually.  The process is not reversible.  No big deal, though.  Happens to them all.   Look at the Romans.  Fine example.  Now that I think of it, the cyber thing seems the most likely successor.  And rightly so.  It is a rather large advance for the species.
Obviously, I still don't make sense or slap down thoughts in any coherent order.  That'll never change.  It's carved in cement.

What we have here is another incarnation.  Some of the same old and some new.  The way it always is.  Time to cull this herd of pages.   Course, if you're seeing this for the first time, you really don't know that.   If you've seen it before, you may not remember it.  If you remember it, you may not care.  In that case, just what are you doing here?
I guess that all the stuff that was here before is now officially dead.  Some things may resurface, as they may be common to the usual homepage.   Then again, maybe not.  It'll be slow to get larger, as well.  Busy playing links ls 98, eh.
Sort of an alleged update done on 11Aug98.  Just added a bit of babbling and a couple more posts to the alt 5 stuff.  Maybe I'll start doing this on a regular basis.  Not likely, though.
Also added a jpeg I made some time ago of "Star" the dog catching a frisbee.  The original photo is from when she was a tad younger.  Doubt if she could do it now, although she'd try.

I like ths gif, so it's the home one
And this is the "home" gif, where encountered.
